When Maria Lejjonhufvud was choosing lighting for her home, quality and sustainability were the main focus, and the choice of Westal was obvious.
Upon moving in and completely renovating a 1920s villa in central Borås, Maria Lejjonhufvud decided to light the entire home with Westal’s fixtures. To match the charming, classic features of the house, she chose to continue with a classic style for the lighting fixtures as well.
Our Gustav fixture series includes everything from wall to post lights and is characterized by simple yet sophisticated designs that, with their clean form, fit in most environments. Thanks to its character, this series forms a significant part of Maria’s home.
At the main entrance and patio door, a Gustav wall light with upward-facing light was placed on each side of the door. For the utility entrance, a Gustav wall light with downward-facing light was chosen instead. Right at the entrance, a Gustav post light was placed to illuminate and add character to the remaining parts of the property.
In addition to the Gustav fixtures, the Stall wall light and Lumina ground spike have been used to light the property. The ground spike has been placed near a tree by the patio to create a more exciting and dramatic environment.
Maria, who holds a university degree in sustainability, emphasizes that she chose to use Westal’s fixtures because of their high quality and the company’s active work with sustainability.
"I wanted fixtures that I knew were of good quality – and that’s why Westal was the obvious choice!"
- Maria Leijonhufvud, owner of the private residence.
