We provide energy-efficient fixtures and technology that minimize energy consumption while delivering optimal lighting for various purposes. Westal offers tailored lighting solutions with a focus on energy efficiency and long-term sustainability. Explore our lighting solutions specially selected for different types of properties. |
Everyone should feel safe when coming home or arriving at work after dark. Facade and entrance lighting is both aesthetically pleasing and functional. It guides residents, employees, or visitors and makes the property or area more welcoming. Lighting also enhances safety by making it easier to locate locks, intercoms, or card readers, while reducing the risk of vandalism and break-ins.
Choosing LED fixtures ensures longer lifespan and greater energy efficiency. Combine these with a sensor or dusk-to-dawn relay to ensure lighting is only on when needed.
In residential neighborhoods with well-planned lighting, residents and passersby feel safer after dark. Focus should be on main pathways, junctions, and entrances to ensure easy navigation and visibility throughout the area, even during nighttime hours.
Good lighting reduces the risk of vandalism. To maintain effective lighting, we recommend fixtures with high vandal resistance, meaning they can withstand impacts without breaking.
To improve accessibility in shared spaces, prioritizing uniform lighting is essential. This not only enhances safety but also provides better visibility of the area.
To reduce energy consumption, consider using automated lighting control. This can include motion sensors integrated into fixtures or timers. Many of our fixtures come equipped with motion sensors capable of controlling both their own lighting and triggering other connected fixtures. These systems can also be retrofitted into existing installations.
Warehouses & Industrial FacilitiesLighting industrial environments requires understanding their unique needs. Ceiling height, shelving, cranes, and ventilation ducts are examples of features that can affect light distribution, potentially leading to suboptimal results. It is also critical to choose fixtures that meet the specific requirements of your operations. |

The Phase-Out of Fluorescent Tubes – What Does It Mean for You and Your Property? The EU Commission recently decided to end the exemption for mercury in light sources, meaning all linear fluorescent tubes (T5 and T8), compact fluorescent lamps, and circular fluorescent tubes are being phased out. If your facility uses fixtures with these light sources, maintenance will become more difficult and expensive as new tubes become hard or impossible to obtain. Existing lighting systems using these sources must be reviewed and upgraded to LED. We offer a range of fixtures and solutions to replace or upgrade older fluorescent tube systems. Our lighting designers have the expertise to calculate and position emergency and evacuation lighting to optimize both safety and visual clarity while ensuring compliance with specific standards and safety requirements. During planning, we also consider aesthetics and design to seamlessly integrate emergency and evacuation lighting into the building’s overall concept when such preferences exist. |
Emergency and evacuation lighting serves as crucial guidance, illuminating escape routes and critical areas when normal lighting fails due to power outages, fires, or other emergencies. Strategically placed emergency lights along escape routes, stairwells, exit doors, and other critical points ensure safety, help people navigate through darkness and smoke, and minimize risks of accidents, injuries, and delays during evacuation. |
ActiveAhead is an advanced technology designed to automate and optimize lighting in various property types. It’s a smart and simple solution for wireless lighting control in offices, warehouses, stairwells, and parking facilities. This intelligent system uses sensors and algorithms to continuously adapt light levels for individual or grouped fixtures based on specific needs in a given environment. |
