Ecodesign

On September 1, 2021, a new EU regulation came into effect with new or revised and adapted ecodesign rules.

The main purpose of ecodesign is to reduce the overall environmental impact of a product (or service). The concept of ecodesign refers to design solutions that consider the entire lifecycle – from material selection and production to use, repair, and recycling. In this way, ecodesigned lighting fixtures contribute to the transition towards more sustainable consumption, promoting quality, durability, and interchangeability.

For lighting fixtures, the electrical light sources and control gear supplied in or with the fixture are covered by the new directives. Among other requirements, LED modules and control gear must be easily removable from the fixture to facilitate repair, interchangeability, and recycling of the product.

We Are Launching Spare Parts

Starting in 2022, we are launching spare parts for our fixtures.

For several of our fixtures, spare and replaceable parts, such as glass, control gear, and LED units, are available. By replacing damaged or outdated parts, the lifespan of the fixture is extended. This is also a more cost-effective and sustainable option, as the entire unit does not necessarily need to be replaced.

At the bottom of each fixture’s product page, we have specified the parts that can be replaced and ordered separately.
