Maintenance and Warranty

ALEM 09

We adhere to the general delivery terms outlined in ALEM 09 for products sold as part of comprehensive contracts. The terms document was developed by the Electrical Installation Organization (EIO) and the Swedish Electrical Wholesalers Association (SEG). More information can be found on the ALEM 09 page.

Liability

Westal is not responsible for any type of consequential costs that may arise due to defective products or incorrectly followed installation instructions, such as production downtime, loss of compensation, or other indirect damages to the buyer or products transferred to third parties. This also applies to damage to products manufactured by the buyer or third parties.
Certain products must be installed with surge protection for the extended liability period under ALEM 09 to apply; see the product manual for details.
Condensation is not covered by Westal's warranty, except in cases where it can be demonstrated that water has penetrated due to a product defect in the fixture.

Maintenance

To maintain corrosion warranty coverage, the required maintenance depends on the product's coating and the zone in which it is located. Read more about maintenance and the zoning classification in the maintenance manual below.
